So... Don't get used to me blogging everyday, but my best friend sent me this video and I had to share it with the world.
Hope it brightens your day!

Mixed Berries, Fall Leaves, and Drellie
Well, I guess you could say I've caved. I'm officially a blogger. Well, not officially.. Considering I declared myself one before I even finished my first post. But regardless, I've started. Let's just hope this trend lasts longer than that time I tried to wear caution tape as a belt in the 6th grade with my friend Warner. Thankfully that one didn't catch...
I've been sick for practically a whole week. I was too stubborn (or as some would say, lazy) to go to the doctor, so I've been in bed for a long time. One would think it would give me a lot of time to be reflecting on life and such, but not me. It wasn't until this morning, while eating my mixed berry yogurt (Mom says it helps with the antibiotics, just so ya know) and stalking friends' blogs, that I decided to take part.
Last weekend, I, along with some of my favorite friends, took about 400 high school friends to a magical land called Windy Gap. It is a Young Life camp located in the mountains of North Carolina, and even though we experienced the first real snow of the season, I couldn't take my eyes off the colored trees. Windy Gap is place that many people love and call home, not solely because of its beauty, but because it's where they learn, some for the first time ever, about Jesus-- the real Jesus. No matter how many times I go, the Lord shows me something new every time. His creation is magnificent and His love is extravagant.
The best part of these weekend trips is hanging out with such cool girls. There were some that I just met and honestly, couldn't put faces with names the first night. But by the end of the weekend, girls like Emily, Rowan, Elva, Madison and Alicia all held special places in my heart. These girls were willing to let me into their world and for that I am grateful and humbled.
We all went from being acquaintances to making plans to attend the Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors with Dave Barnes concert (December 2 at 7:30 at Grace Community Church in Greensboro.. You should come!) together! This is another favorite moment of mine. My friends didn't really know who this fantastic couple was, and are now falling in love with their music, hearing their story, and witnessing a real relationship built around Christ because of them. I cannot wait to hang out with these girls more and jam out at the concert. But no really if you can come, do it. 'Twill totally be worth your while.
Well. That was it. My first blog post. And I guess I've managed to show the world how scatterbrained I am. I guess all it takes is practice. And sanity.
